CON.THERA enters its third edition:
Neurorehabilitation congress in Karlsruhe with a compact training programme and specific exhibition for the first time
Karlsruhe, 3 April 2025 - For the third time, the still young CON.THERA therapist congress is bringing together leading experts in neurorehabilitation at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre. Sabine and Hans Lamprecht from the Lamprecht Fobis team, who are responsible for the content of the specialist congress, invite you to an interdisciplinary exchange together with their network - with the clear aim of further strengthening cooperation between the professional groups involved in therapeutic care. The focus will be on central questions of modern neurorehabilitation: How can therapeutic care be sustainably improved? What effect does guideline-based therapy have? And what influence does a holistic approach have on the treatment of stroke and Parkinson's patients as well as other neurological diseases? More information on the programme content can be found online at www.rehab-karlsruhe.com/conthera.

Expert presentations from research and practice
With a focus on neurorehabilitation, the interdisciplinary therapist congress CON.THERA offers professionals from the fields of occupational and physiotherapy, speech therapy as well as rehabilitation and orthopaedic technology a three-day advanced training programme. 22 renowned experts from research and practice will speak at the congress, including Prof Joachim Liepert (Kliniken Schmieder Allensbach), Prof Klaus Jahn (LMU Munich), Prof Bernhard Hemmer (Technical University of Munich) and Prof Rüdiger Rupp (Heidelberg University Hospital).
A total of six modules can be taken on the following topics: ‘Neurorehabilitation Today’, ‘Parkinson's Update’, ‘Dementia and Functional Disorders’, ‘Paediatrics: Compact Knowledge’ and ‘New Perspectives in Neurorehabilitation’. For the first time, the Association for Physiotherapy - Association for the Physiotherapeutic Professions (VPT) e.V. will be organising an additional thematic block on the topic of ‘Palliative Care’, module one of the congress.
Diverse, interprofessional topics
The second module, ‘Neurorehabilitation today’, deals with current developments in motor neurorehabilitation, gait rehabilitation, an update on multiple sclerosis and the use of botulinum toxin in neurorehabilitation. The third module provides ‘Updates on Parkinson's disease, dementia and functional disorders’. The fourth module focuses on ‘Paediatrics: compact knowledge’ and covers topics such as the treatment of speech development disorders and strokes in children and adolescents. The final two modules open up ‘New perspectives in neurorehabilitation’, for example with regard to reflex-based electrotherapy, epidural spinal cord stimulation, gait therapy for paraplegia and surgical interventions in neurorehabilitation.

Specific exhibition and speed presentations for the first time
During the breaks, congress participants can visit an accompanying exhibition with providers from the fields of therapy, pharmaceuticals and software on the conference floor. Speed presentations by exhibitors are also planned. The list of exhibitors can be viewed online.
A visit to REHAB Karlsruhe, one of the world's most important trade fairs for rehabilitation, therapy, care and inclusion, which is taking place at the same time, is also a good idea. Almost 400 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest trends, aids and therapy equipment on around 30,000 square metres in three exhibition halls. Both exhibitions are free of charge for CON.THERA participants. In particular, the opportunity to visit the REHAB trade fair creates added value for participants to expand their knowledge in a targeted manner.
